Well Rounded & Informed

Here are a few sites that I visit often. They are quite diverse, but that's what keeps me well rounded. They are also quite informative and interesting. I highly recommend visiting them all (maybe not the Heat Index if you're not a fan).

Fox News
I consider myself to be politically moderate, but I choose Fox News as my go-to national news source. While the Fox News primetime evening lineup may not be full of my favorite broadcasts, especially now that Hannity and Colmes is now just Hannity, the Fox News website provides the most user-friendly, interactive website of all the major national news stations. If you can see through the "Fair & Balanced" mantra and dissect the material into spin and fact, you've got yourself a great resource and a quick link to the national headlines of the day.

Perez Hilton
Perez Hilton provides a never-ending stream of high-quality yet mind-numbing pop culture news. If you keep up with the blogger's multiple sites, you'll never have to buy another tabloid again. Perez lets you know who is dating whom in Hollywood, which red carpet fashions were the best and worst, and what celebrities are up to in all facets of stardom.

Grantland
For all the best stories in sports and Hollywood, Grantland is a must. A multifaceted blog run by Bill Simmons, Grantland provides a great resource if you want to hear opinions on all things happening in the sports world. The site also provides a touch of Hollywood news in the "Hollywood Prospectus" section.

Heat Index
If you are a fan of the Miami Heat, this source is definitely on your list of most visited sites. As a huge basketball, NBA, and Heat fan, this site receives at least a daily once-over from me. Of all NBA teams, the Miami Heat are the only team with such a fan base worthy of their own featured site on ESPN.com. The Heat Index highlights all of the teams losses and wins, players' stats and injuries and all things related to the franchise.

Food Network
Even the most amateur of culinary adventureres will take pleasure in the Food Network's comprehensive website. The network provides a plethora of recipes ranging from easy ten minute meals to exquisite foreign dishes to healthy diet-friendly alternatives. Whether a college student like myself is trying to whip up a meal in a dorm or a stay-at-home mom is planning dinner for her kids, the Food Network provides a recipe, or recommends a program to watch on their TV channel.
