Neither the Heat nor the Bulls let any of their excitedly anxious fans down during Sunday's game. The match-up was one that kept viewers on the edge of their seats. In the sports bar atmosphere of Four Corners, Heat and Bulls fans alike could be heard shouting in excitement or disappointment after each of the nine lead changes. The leading players from each team were neck and neck in the statistics. As was expected, Derrick Rose and Lebron James led their teams in scoring with 34 and 35 points, respectively. But Rose and James weren't the only stars seen that night. Dwayne Wade came out shining with 7 assists in his second game since returning from his ankle injury. Wade and James's Big 3 counterpart, Chris Bosh, played a strong game, too. He grasped 12 rebounds in the game. The former Florida Gator Joakim Noah showed up strong for the Bulls with 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. But the unexpected hero of the night has to be Udonis Haslem. He put up 4 points, got 9 rebounds, and made 2 steals against Chicago. While the numbers may seem relatively unimpressive, Haslem was there when it counted. The video speaks for itself.
With Wade not far behind him, Haslem closed the lane that Rose had seen open. Despite Rose perfectly splitting the pick and roll, causing Bosh to fall, Haslem threw him off and Rose missed what would have been a game winning shot. "That is a veteran warrior who has the awareness, the quickness and the guts to make a read like that," Spoelstra said of Haslem (Heat Index). Heat fans can only hope to see UD continue to come through like this for the rest of the season.
