About the Blogger: Me, Me, Me

Yes, this blog is an insight into my thoughts. I have no idea if there is anyone out there who will care about them, but I'm hoping to find a couple people. I've got some pretty cool stuff to share.

My name is Rebekah, Bekah, or even Beks, but only my dad calls me that. I am a sophomore advertising major at UNC Chapel Hill. Go Heels!! I work at a sports bar near campus called Four Corners. I am in love with sports, at least the major ones, with the exception of baseball. I could definitely live without it, but even baseball has is moments sometimes. I also love to cook. I try new recipes sometimes but I've also got a few favorites. Sometimes I bake too, but my sweet tooth craves more candy than baked goods.

Before UNC, I was soaking up the sun in the sunshine state. Until now, I had never lived more than forty minutes from a beach. I was born in Tampa, FL and I lived on Anna Maria Island near Sarasota, FL until I was about five. When it came time to start kindergarten, my parents gave up their beach bum ways and we moved to Temple Terrace, a tiny suburban enclave of Tampa. Maybe there is something in the water of suburbia, but after that my parents started poppin' out babies. Now I am blessed with three little siblings: Dana, the quiet artist type, age 13; Noah, the basketball lover, age 11; and Khegan, the nerdy baby of the family, age 9. I miss my little siblings a lot, so you'll probably be hearing about them.

When I'm not spending quality time with the family, I am probably galavanting around some big city. I am in love with Miami and all things beach related. I lived in Philadelphia for a couple months and loved it. I made an extended visit to Boston that was too much fun; it's a beautiful city with lots of beautiful, young people. I've hopped of a plane at LAX, with my dreams and my cardigan (I couldn't resist!)... and consequently spent hours lost in the LA subway system. My next goal is to visit a city outside of the US; I'm aiming for Paris this summer.

As this blog progresses, you will definitely be learning more about my random quirks. I hope you enjoy them!
